Thrive by Five Washington, Seattle Washington — Responsible for all aspects of leading this non-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to advancing the health, development, and learning for young children in Washington. Managed a budget of $15M, a staff of 20, and a board of directors of 25 high profile individuals. The organization funded home visiting programs and led systems-building and advocacy efforts to ensure that all children get a healthy start.
FOUNDING CEO 2/1990-10/2008
Child Care Resources, Seattle, Washington — Founding CEO for King County’s non-profit childcare resource and referral agency. Took the agency from plans and a $500k budget to a successful non-profit with an annual budget of $7 million and 50 FTEs. Primary services: information and referral for parents seeking child care; training for child care providers; services for homeless children and families; and consultation and referral services for employees.
