Washington Association for Infant Mental Health (WA-AIMH) — Expanded Seattle-based organization to one with statewide reach. Organization supports the interdisciplinary community of professionals who work with young children and families to promote their healthy development. Created agency infrastructure, built the Board, and raised sufficient funds to hire staff and bring an endorsement process to the state.

PRESIDENT AND CEO                                                                                10/2008-11/2013

Thrive by Five Washington, Seattle Washington — Responsible for all aspects of leading this non-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to advancing the health, development, and learning for young children in Washington. Managed a budget of $15M, a staff of 20, and a board of directors of 25 high profile individuals. The organization funded home visiting programs and led systems-building and advocacy efforts to ensure that all children get a healthy start.

FOUNDING CEO                                                                                           2/1990-10/2008

Child Care Resources, Seattle, Washington — Founding CEO for King County’s non-profit childcare resource and referral agency. Took the agency from plans and a $500k budget to a successful non-profit with an annual budget of $7 million and 50 FTEs. Primary services:  information and referral for parents seeking child care; training for child care providers; services for homeless children and families; and consultation and referral services for employees.

Mental Health Services of Snohomish County — Directed Children’s Mental Health Services for this multi-function mental health agency.  Also provided family and individual therapy as a licensed mental health professional in the state of Washington.
